HTC One A9 (Aero) has been one of the most talked about smartphones as of late. Everyone initially thought that this will be HTC’s premium smartphone, but it seems like this is a new mid-range handset HTC will unveil on October 20th. We’ve already seen a number of leaks when it comes to this device, a ton of images surfaced, and the device’s listing has popped up in France quite recently. That listing has revealed additional renders of this phone, as well as its specifications which we’ll talk in a minute.
The HTC One A9 doesn’t really have high-end specifications, not even close to that, but the launch of this device might help HTC’s overall smartphone shipments in Q4 this year, at least according to industry sources. They say that the phone is expected to have a quite appealing price/performance ratio, which will be enough to lure consumers in. HTC One A9 certainly won’t have it easy though, the competition in the smartphone market is incredibly strong, especially in the last quarter of the year. The One A9 will hopefully help HTC, at least to an extent, because the company is not doing all that great. The One M9 sales haven’t exactly been going as well as HTC has hoped, and the company is more or less bleeding money at this point. As a side note, this Taiwan-based company is also expected to release a high-end device before the end of the year.
That being said, the HTC One A9 is expected to feature a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, 13-megapixel rear-facing, and a 4-megapixel front-facing camera. The listing has also stated that the phone will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with HTC’s Sense UI being installed on top of Google’s OS. How much will this phone cost? Well, it is said that the phone will cost €599.90, which doesn’t seem all that accurate considering this will be a mid-range phone. HTC will have to do a lot better as far as the pricing is concerned if they want this phone to be a success in the end.
