If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on the latest HTC smartphone, the waiting is almost over! Well, that is… if you’re not waiting for a Verizon-supported device. Just last week, official support for carriers AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile were launched for the HTC One A9. Unfortunately, Verizon subscribers will have to wait for a month before they can get their hands on the device.
As announced on their website, Verizon-supported models for the HTC One A9 will be coming in December. However, a clear release date has not been released so it could be possible that it could be postponed yet again.
In addition to the month-long wait, HTC has also announced that the original $399 price tag for the device will not be available much longer. The special price will only be available until Nov. 7. Once this date is over, the price tag will be given an additional $100. This means that Verizon customers won’t be able to take advantage of the special rate but will have to shell out $499.
Despite this, it still looks like the HTC One A9 is a phone worthy to spend that extra $100 on and another month of waiting; especially since the device comes with some features that not too many devices are equipped with. For starters, the HTC One A9 is pre-installed with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and HTC Sense custom UI on top of it. The display is a beautiful 5-inch AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution. Running beneath the display is an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. What’s even more interesting is the 2TB extra memory available with the use of a microSD card. Camera-wise, the HTC One A9 features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with OIS and a secondary 4-megapixel UltraPixel sensor in front. The 2,150 mAh battery on the back is available with Quick Charge 3.0 support. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner that helps serve as an extra layer of security for user authentication.
The HTC One A9 is now available under carriers AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. It is also available unlocked. With specs like these, a month’s long wait doesn’t seem to be so bad.
