LG Unveils Watch Urbane 2nd Edition Rollout Plans

LG has announced two devices today, their new flagship handset, and a new Android Wear-powered smartwatch. The LG V10 is the company’s new handset which has been leaking all over the place lately, and the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition is more or less a surprise launch by the company, even though we’ve seen this watch leak in Google’s press documents. That being said, we’re here to take a closer look at LG’s rollout plans for the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition, read on.

This Korean smartphone manufacturer has briefly talked about the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition during their press event, but has revealed their launch plans in the press release issued earlier today. This smartwatch will be made available in the US and Korea first, while Europe, CIS, Asia and the Middle East will follow soon after. The company did not reveal the pricing of this device, nor did they share exact launch dates or anything of the sort, they only said that the ”details including price and date of availability will be announced locally at a later date.”

The Watch Urbane 2nd Edition is LG’s first Android Wear-powered smartwatch to sport cellular connectivity. The watch actually offers 4G LTE connectivity, which means you can insert your SIM card in it. That being said, let’s take a look at the rest of its specs. The Watch Urbane 2nd Edition sports a 1.38-inch P-OLED Display (480 x 480) along with 768MB of RAM and 4GB of native storage. The device packs in a 570mAh battery, and connects to your smartphone / tablet via Bluetooth 4.1. The watch also packs in Wi-Fi antennas, and is water and dust resistant (IP67 certification). The Watch Urbane 2nd Edition will be available in Space Black, Opal Blue, Luxe White and Signature Brown color options, while it measures 44.5 x 14.2mm.

The new Urbane watch differs from the original in terms of the design, this time around the watch sports three physical keys on its right-hand side, but it’s still made out of stainless steel.
