LG V10 Comes With Enhanced Security Features Through LG GATE

Right at the start of the month, LG unveiled their latest smartphone, the LG V10. A device which looks set to be the first in a new line for LG and joining the ranks of the LG G series and G Flex series of devices. The main features on offer with the V10 is the inclusion of a secondary ‘ticker’ display and also an emphasis on cameras. However, since the launch, few details have been coming through in regards to the V10.

Now, LG has announced that the V10 will come with some heightened security features. In particular, the LG V10 will come equipped with LG GATE security built-in. As a result the device will come loaded with a number of productivity features that are designed to be more useful to the business and enterprise sectors, while offering government grade security and military compliance for durability. In terms of the specifics of LG GATE, this will offer an increased level of businesses platform security, as well as network security and will be most at home with Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems. LG GATE offers an AES-256 encryption algorithm and is compliant with FIPS 140-2 U.S. Government standards.

If you need a reminder on what else is on offer with the V10, then the latest device from LG comes sporting a 5.7-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. Inside, the V10 come loaded with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor. Cameras on offer include a 16-megapixel rear camera which is coupled with a 5-megapixel front facing camera. Additional features on offer include a microSD card slot for expandable storage, a 3,000 mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner and will come running on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) out of the box. In terms of the availability, the details are still coming through on this point. It was reported yesterday that the V10 is now available to purchase in South Korea for roughly $693. However, US availability has yet to be fully unveiled by LG, although, the V10 is expected to arrive on AT&T, T-Mobile & Verizon. In terms of price, this is also yet to be confirmed.
