It has been a busy few months for product launches with some coming from LG, Motorola, Samsung, OnePlus, among others. In fact, OnePlus still have another launch to take place for the OnePlus X. Likewise, Motorola is not quite finished with its 2015 offerings either, as they have announced that next week they will be unveiling the new DROID line-up. Although, it has not been officially confirmed, the consensus seems to be that Motorola and Verizon will be unveiling two devices this year, the Motorola DROID Turbo 2 and the DROID MAXX 2.
Over the last few weeks a number of details have been coming through. For instance, it was only yesterday when a leaked memo popped up online detailing some of the more obvious selling points like the durability of the DROID Turbo and its excellent battery life. This memo came just following another leak which seemed to show a Moto Maker element will be in use with the DROID Turbo. This also came on the back of an official teasing of the DROID Turbo from Motorola. Well, follow on from those leaks, and very well-known tipster @evleaks has now released a render which seems to show the two devices from both the front and the back. As the tweet states, the order of the devices shown above is “(Turbo – Turbo – Turbo – Maxx – Maxx)“.
What is already drawing attention on Twitter is the checkmark which now seems to be in place on the front of the DROID Turbo 2. As most will already know, Verizon recently re-branded the company with a clear emphasis on the checkmark and this re-branding now seems to have made it to the front of the device. So far, all the previous images that have come through (including the official teasing) were showing the back of the device, so it is interesting to see that there has been few front images until now. Whether this is because of the checkmark remains to be seen. However, this does only seem to be the case of the Turbo as the MAXX does not seem to sport the checkmark on the front. Although, it does on the back. Of course, we won’t have too long to wait to find out how close these images are to the final products, as Verizon and Motorola have confirmed the launch event will take place on October 27th.
