Samsung Galaxy View Specs Revealed On GFXBench

While all the current talk today is of LG, a few weeks back, Samsung were holding their own press conference in which they unveiled their latest smartwatches. As part of that launch event, the company very subtly hinted at their upcoming tablet, the Samsung Galaxy View. This was rumored to be a massive tablet which comes sporting an 18-inch display. Well, more recently, the Galaxy View was spotted being certified in South Korea. Which although, did not provide any firm details on the specs, did further confirm the tablet was approaching. Well, following on from that point, it also now looks like the Galaxy View has passed through GFXBench and in doing so, brought with it confirmation of a number of the specs on offer.

In terms of those specs, the benchmark listing does seem to confirm that the will come sporting a massive display which is listed as an 18.5-inch screen. This will be along with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Moving to the inside and the Galaxy View comes equipped with 2GB RAM and powered by a Samsung Exynos 7580 octa-core processor (clocking at 1.6 GHz). Storage looks to be set at the 32GB level (with 25GB usable on offer), while there is no mention of a microSD card slot for expandable storage. On the camera side of things, the benchmarks confirms that the Galaxy View does come with a 2-megapixel front facing camera and does not offer any cameras on the back. Other notable features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. While the tablet looks to come running on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) out of the box.

With a device this big, it would be expected to come touting a big battery too, however, the benchmarks do not reveal any information on this point. Although, rumors have so far suggested that it will be a 5,700 mAh battery on offer. Although some rumors have also suggested a microSD card slot and rear-facing camera might be on offer too. So for those details, there will be a wait for further confirmation one way or the other. Likewise, benchmarks do not offer any information on pricing or availability and as such, those details will also have to be waited on a little longer too.
