T-Mobile Begins Sales of LG V10 on Oct. 28th

Earlier this month, after the Nexus event, LG held an even just two days later on the other side of the country in New York City. Where they announced a new smartphone, that was part of a new line of flagships for them in the LG V10. The LG V10 is a sort of weird flagship here. While it’s a bit bigger than the LG G4, it does also have a second display at the top of the phone. That appears to be mostly used as an app launcher. We had some short hands-on time with it in New York City, and should have a review unit in hand shortly to test it out a bit more.

However, that secondary display wasn’t all that the V10 was about. LG also added some other cool features to the V10. One of those being the insane amount of manual controls for video now. Building on the amazing camera from the LG G4. As usual, LG gave it to some professional videographers to check out and they produced some amazing video. The LG V10 is also pretty rugged. They made the smartphone almost drop proof, but not quite. Which is a feature that I hope more smartphone makers start adding to their phones. As we all are a bit clumsy from time to time.

Now when LG announced the V10, they did say that T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon would be carrying it. But none of the carriers had any information on when it would be available. Today, T-Mobile announced that the LG V10 would be available this Wednesday from T-Mobile.com fro $0 upfront and $25/month for 24 months. The full retail price here is $599.99. While sales open up on their website on Wednesday, they will open up in their retail stores on Friday, October 30th. So if you’d like to check out the V10 in person first, you may want to wait a few days until they are in the store. They will be in stores nationwide this Friday, according to T-Mobile’s press release. No word on which colors they will be carrying, but you can almost guarantee that they will carry the black and perhaps another color. We’ll have to wait until Wednesday to find out.
