We got our hands on the brand-new OnePlus X at a special event held in San Francisco, and today we’re going to show you the phone in all its glory. Take a look at the video below to see what we thought of the device and what it looks like, and don’t forget to hang around for the section at the end where we try on a couple of those pretty awesome new cases that OnePlus is launching with the phone. If you haven’t seen all our OnePlus X coverage today you’ve seriously been missing out, because this is one special phone at a pretty special price of $249. It launches November 19th in the US and is coming to Europe shortly thereafter.
In addition to that OnePlus is launching a limited Ceramic Edition of the phone for €369 in Europe at an undisclosed time before Christmas. There will only be 10,000 of these units made, and that’s mainly because the back only has a yield rate of 20%. That means for very 100 ceramic backs made only 20 make it past inspection into the final product! The phone is running OxygenOS 2.1 which is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, and OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei assured us that the Marshmallow update will follow fairly soon after the release, although the company isn’t sticking to an official date just yet. Check out the video below and don’t forget to check out our other hands on videos of the camera software and OxygenOS 2.1 as well!
