Video: Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 Review

We’ve had our hands on time with Samsung’s latest flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0, for a little while now and have been able to use it long enough to give our verdict.  The Galaxy Tab S2, as you might assume from the name, is the follow up to last year’s redesigned Tab S lineup from Samsung and features a premium metal frame construction and a beautiful Super AMOLED screen.  It comes in two sizes, the 8-inch which we have for review here, as well as a larger 9.7-inch version that features identical specs otherwise.  Packed inside is the same Exynos 5433 SoC from the Galaxy Note 4, which although is last year’s SoC still performs admirably in any situation.

The screen of course is the main draw here, being that tablets are media consumption devices, and is powered by the Samsung Super AMOLED technology that Samsung has become so well known for in the mobile space.  The resolution of the screen is 1536 x 2048 on both devices, so you’re looking at a bit of a pixel density difference between the two where the smaller screen is going to be quite a bit sharper than the larger one because of that.  Both devices feature that brand new fingerprint sensor found on the home buttons of the Note 5 and the S6 lineup of phones from Samsung’s 2015 catalog, and even the software shared here is the same.  Check out our full video review below and let us know what you think of the Tab S2, and don’t forget to check out what’s in the box as well!
