Video: Unboxing the Chromecast and Chromecast Audio

This week in San Francisco Google didn’t just announce the two new Nexus devices, the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, but also announced a new tablet concept as well as a pair of new Chromecast devices. Two years ago the Chromecast broke the mold of what we thought an internet streaming device could be, delivering not only an excellent experience that gained an unbelievable following and compatibility list, but did all of this for an insane $35. Google has completely refreshed its product catalog for Chromecast and has done it by offering two models that are at the exact same amazing price as the last generation product.

First up is the Chromecast which replaces the old model with a brand new design and some significantly improved performance too. The new design houses three positional WiFi antennas that adjust automatically based on strength of the signal as well as packing some additional horsepower under the hood. The second device is the Chromecast Audio which is set to create a new product category for Google and helps bring those old audio systems back to life. Working just like a Chromecast the Chromecast Audio hooks up to your old speakers and allows you to cast audio to them, helping you to ditch some of that old equipment while still keeping the parts you want. Check out all the information we’ve got on both new Chromecast devices and don’t forget to check out the unboxing video below for both units!
