ZTE has been making some big gains this year to expand their reach to a wider international market. This is in spite of the company already being one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in the world. In particular, one device which gained a considerable amount of attention when it was first announced was the ZTE Axon. At the time of launch, the U.S. saw the ZTE Axon Pro although, variants of the device have also been released including an Axon Mini and Max, as well as a Watch.
Well, ZTE has today announced that as well as the standard ZTE Pro version, the company is now launching another variant to the U.S. market. To all purposes, this is the same ZTE Axon Pro which was already announced and as such, comes with much of the same features including a 5.5-inch 2K display, 4GB RAM and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. Not forgetting being powered by a 3,000 mAh battery and running on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). However, for those who are storage hungry, the newer version does come with an increased internal storage capacity. As such, the new ZTE Pro Axon will see a boost up from 32GB storage to 64GB storage. In addition, ZTE is also today announcing the ZTE Axon (non pro) for the U.S., which will offer consumers much of the same Axon experience, but at a more affordable price. In terms of the ZTE Axon, this one comes sporting a 5.5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside, the ZTE Axon comes equipped with 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Octa-core processor (clocking at 2 GHz). The ZTE Axon also comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 3000 mAh battery and also comes running on Android 5.1.1.
For those interested in either Axon device, ZTE has confirmed that the ZTE Axon Pro with 64GB will be available for $449.98. Which is essentially $50 more than the 32GB model which costs $399.98. In contrast, the ZTE Axon will be priced at $329.98. Both the newly announced ZTE Axon devices will be available to purchase directly from ZTE, although they have yet to confirm availability. Those interested can find out more about any of the Axon range by heading over to the ZTE website.
