Google Store Now Shipping Nexus 6P in 1-2 Days

The situation should not surprise anyone – another year, another Nexus smartphone launch and another delay.  With a corporation as large as Google coordinating the device’s design and distribution, one would think that such delays would be eliminated, but the two Nexus devices were slow out of the gate…especially, the premium Nexus 6P made by Huawei.  The wait was so long that Google compensated those customers with a $25 credit towards it purchase, so when they ship, Google deducted the $25 from the amount they will charge your credit card.

In quite a quick turnaround, according to the Google Store, Nexus 6Ps are now shipping within 1-2 business days once you order the device and certainly a far cry from the previous month long wait.  Although shipping is quicker, not all models and memory configurations are currently available – for instance, the popular Aluminum model is only available in 32GB and 64GB…the 128GB model is “currently out of stock.”  The Graphite model is only available in 32GB and both the 64GB and 128GB models are out of stock.  The Frost model is only available in the 128GB variation, and the 64GB model is currently out of stock.  You can always purchase your Nexus 6P directly from Huawei – they are selling two models, the Aluminum or Graphite with all storage options, but are listing the ship date in mid-December.

One thing is certain – the Nexus 6P is certainly a device worth waiting to own.  It comes with a 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED display made by Samsung with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and 518 pixels-per-inch (PPI).  The brain for the device is v2.1 of the 64-bit Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 1.55GHz and four cores clocked at 2.0GHz.  It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB, 64GB or 128GB on non-expandable internal memory.  The 12.3MP camera with laser autofocus and dual-tone LED flash is highly rated, and it comes with a large 8MP front-facing camera (FFC) for selfies or video chats.  A large 3450mAh battery powers the device and you can quickly charge it via the Type-C microUSB connector.

The Nexus 6P comes with a fingerprint sensor for unlocking the device as well as authorizing mobile payments with Android Pay.  Being a Nexus device it comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will receive the fastest upgrades possible.
