Lenovo is one of China’s biggest smartphone manufacturers, and also one of the largest China-based tech companies as well. Lenovo has introduced quite a few devices this year, and they’re doing especially well in their homeland and India. India is the second largest smartphone market in the world, and Lenovo is currently 3rd-placed over there as far as market share goes, trumped only by Samsung and Micromax. That being said, ever since Lenovo unveiled the Vibe S1 during IFA in Berlin, we’ve been wondering when will it land in India. Well, that has just happened, read on.

This China-based smartphone OEM has just announced the Vibe S1 in India. This handset is actually the first smartphone in the world to sport the dual front-facing camera setup, in case you didn’t know. Anyhow, the Lenovo Vibe S1 features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display with Corning’s Gorilla 3 Glass on it. The phone is powered by MediaTek’s MT6792 octa-core SoC along with a Mali-T760 GPU for graphics. The Vibe S1 ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed with Lenovo’s custom UI installed on top of it.
