Lenovo has been rather quiet as far as smartphone launches go lately. The company has released a number of devices this year, and most of those devices are available in Asia only. This China-based company actually making a huge push in India, where they actually hold a huge chunk of the market share. Lenovo has announced a huge 6.8-inch phablet back in September, the Phab Plus, and it seems like they plan to announce another well-specced device really soon, read on.
According to the latest report from China, Lenovo will announce the Vibe X3 and Vibe X3 Lite devices really soon. The Lenovo X3 was certified by TENAA back in September, and it also popped up on Geekbench in September as well. It is said that this phone is actually designed by Motorola, and if you take a look at the images down below, you’ll notice that this phone actually sports a significantly different design than Lenovo’s previous offerings. Anyhow, the rumor says that the Lenovo Vibe X3 or ‘Lemon X’, as it’s also called, will be released on December 16th in China. The rumor also says that the Vibe X3 Lite will be released on said date, we’ll get to that in a minute.
Previously leaked benchmarks revealed Vibe X3’s specifications. This smartphone will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor, and a fingerprint scanner will be located on its back. The 21-megapixel rear-facing camera will also be a part of this package, and below it, you’ll see the dual-LED, dual tone flash. The 8-megapixel snapper will be available up front, and it seems like the device will sport two front-facing stereo speakers.
The Vibe X3 Lite will reportedly going to be fueled by MediaTek’s MT6753T 64-bit octa-core SoC and will ship with 2GB of RAM on the inside. The 13-megapixel snapper is said to be located on its back, and a 5-megapixel shooter will be available up front. The 3,300mAh battery has also been mentioned when it comes to this device. The Vibe X3 Lite will probably sport the same design, and the same 5.5-inch 1080p display as its big brother. The Lenovo Vibe X3 is rumored to cost 1,299 Yuan ($203), while the Vibe X3 Lite is said to be priced at 899 Yuan ($141). These two phones could be really interesting to consumers if Lenovo manages to deliver such pricing, we’ll see.
