Xiaomi has been very successful this year. They’ve released a number of devices thus far, and they’re close to reaching their target sales goal, but it’s still unknown whether they’ll be able to reach it before the end of the year. Either way, the company has announced two devices yesterday which might help them do that, the Redmi Note 3 and Mi Pad 2. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see the Mi Pad 2 up close and personal in real life images. This China-based smartphone OEM has opted for an all-metal design this time around, and the tablet really does look quite sleek. Both its power / lock and volume rocker physical buttons are located on the right-hand side of the tablet, while you’ll notice the dual speakers in the lower back portion of the tablet’s back. The rear-facing camera doesn’t sport an LED flash, and the side bezels aren’t all that thick. This device will be available in Dark Grey and Gold color options, while the latter is pictured below.

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 features a 7.9-inch 2048 x 1536 display along with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 16 or 64GB of internal storage. The tablet is powered by Intel’s X5-Z8500 14nm 64-bit quad-core SoC, and a 6,190mAh battery is available on the inside. The 8-megapixel snapper can be found on the back of this tablet, and a 5-megapixel shooter is available up front. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with Xiaomi’s MIUI 7 OS available on top of it. The Mi Pad 2 measures 200.4 x 132.6 x 6.95mm, while it weighs 322 grams. The 16GB variant of this tablet is priced at 999 Yuan ($156) in China, while the 64GB model costs 1,299 Yuan ($203).
