Samsung is promoting its latest flagship devices with a promise of $349 in gifts when you purchase a device at its retail price. This Friday marks the beginning of Samsung’s “Gifts of the Season” offer in the United States, and Samsung is already allowing for pre-registration on its site. Samsung is looking to make its latest devices stand out from the crowd as holiday shoppers start writing out their Christmas lists. The company is no stranger to similar deals, as is most of the industry, but this promotion does seem to stand out for its remarkable value. As the last quarter of the year starts to pick up, smartphone manufacturers are no doubt hoping to pull market share from rivals while raising profits. Samsung’s finances have improved since earlier this year, and the Android OEM is likely looking to continue that momentum throughout November and December.
The Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ are all included in the “Gifts of the Season” promotion. If purchased at full retail price, Samsung will throw in a few attractive freebies. The OEM is offering customers a choice of two bundles, and each contains a fast charge portable battery pack and Samsung’s wireless charging pad. The first option, the Swarovski Holiday Bundle, also includes a Swarovski crystal jewelry case. The second option, the Level On Holiday Bundle, instead includes one of Samsung’s stereo headphones. Both of the packages are of an estimated value of $349.
The gifts don’t start there, with Samsung throwing in an extra $50 rebate if you choose to take advantage of Samsung Pay. If you activate the service and register with a supported card, you can claim your cash online. In an attempt to persuade iPhone fans, Samsung is also offering $100 in Google Play credit if you trade in your Apple device. Samsung seems to be pulling out all the stops, and now may be a good time to be thinking of holiday purchases, including one for yourself. Still, it’s possible the company may have more deals planned for Black Friday as the “Gifts of the Season” promotion ends November 22nd. Also worth noting is Sprint’s promotional giveaway of a year of Amazon Prime with the purchase of the same four phones. For the carriers offer, customers are eligible even if they choose to purchase the devices without paying the full retail price all at one time.
