Sprint Announces new Promo to cut your bill in Half

After announcing LTE Plus last night, which is bringing some pretty crazy speeds to Sprint customers around the country. Sprint’s CEO, Marcelo Claure had some exciting news today to celebrate LTE Plus. The first of which is only for customers of AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. Sprint is once again looking to cut your phone bill in half. That’s 50% off of your current bill at either AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon. In addition, they are also paying the switching fees, including the ETF, up to $650. That’s one heck of a deal, if we say so ourselves. This promo is lasting through January 7th, but your bill will continue to be cut in half through 2018.

This announcement from Sprint, comes shortly after T-Mobile’s announcement last week of Uncarrier X. Which brought along quite a few changes to the company. T-Mobile doubled everyone’s data, also is allowing video to stream for free on plans of 3GB or higher, and those on 1GB or 2GB, video now goes 3x further. As they have optimized video on their network to stream at 480p, allowing less bandwidth to be wasted on higher resolution video. T-Mobile also brought this to their own prepaid plans as well as MetroPCS.

Sprint has tried doing the cut your bill in half thing before. But when the actual math was done, Sprint was only actually cutting about 10% off of your bill. However, their plans have gotten much cheaper by then, so you’re likely getting a 50% discount here. Since Claure has taken over as CEO in August of 2014, his sole mission has been to improve the network, and he’s done a great job with that. And he wants everyone to see and experience the network now. We’re seeing speed tests from Sprint users of over 100Mbps, and some closer to 200Mbps. Which is quite a jump from a few months ago, and an even larger jump from last year.

This new promo from Sprint is live today, and works for everyone switching to Sprint now through January 7th. But you will need to transfer your number over, to get the switching fees paid by Sprint.
