The carriers in the U.S. are very much hard at work at trying to get consumers to sign up with their services. Or if you are already a subscriber, then they seem to be equally hard at work trying to ensure your remain a subscriber. It seems one of the most popular options at the minute is to try and offer an increased level of data or ways in which you can omit using data as a means to have more data, or even to use data and have someone else pay for it. Occasionally, the carriers will offer discounts on popular smartphones or reduce affordable smartphones to an even more affordable price.
Well, in terms of AT&T, the carrier has today started a “buy one get one free” offer on select smartphones. By select, take this to mean select Samsung smartphones. If you have had your eye on the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ or the Galaxy Note 5, then this is you opportunity to get not one, but two.
In terms of the deal, this is aimed at getting you and someone you know to both sign up to a long term service plan, so you won’t actually be getting two smartphones for yourself. Although, it could be worthwhile if you and someone else are both thinking about upgrading anyway and/or moving to AT&T. To qualify for the free phone, both need to sign up (or be signed up) to a qualifying plan. You then need to simply head over to the AT&T website (source link below), select a Galaxy device and make sure to choose AT&T’s Next installment plan. After adding to your cart and proceeding through the checkout, there will be an option to “Save & Add Another Device”. This is where you can add the free Galaxy device as a new line. From then on, both service plans need to remain active and following the initial three months of activation, bill credits will start to roll though. After thirty months of continued service, the bill credits allocated will equate to the cost of the phone, essentially, making it free. To take advantage of the deal, you will need to sign up between now and December 31st.
