Bluboo is one of many China-based smartphone manufacturing companies. This company is selling their devices through Chinese resellers, just like many other companies are doing. We’ve talked about Bluboo quite a few times before, and have already mentioned their upcoming Xwatch smartwatch, a device which will ship with Android Wear pre-installed. This watch is very interesting because it will be quite affordable, especially compared to the currently available Android Wear-powered watches out there.
We’ve already shared some images and specs when it comes to this smartwatch, as it was showcased during 2015 Autumn HK Global Source Exhibition. Well, our source at the company has provided some additional images of this smartwatch, and the device actually looks quite sleek. There’s is one render available in the gallery down below, along with a number of real life images of the Xwatch. Now, our source has also confirmed that the Xwatch will officially launch in February next year, but we still don’t know the exact date.
The Bluboo Xwatch will sport a 1.3-inch 360 x 360 OnCell display, along with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The 480mAh battery will be available on the inside, and the watch will be fueled by MediaTek’s MT2601 dual-core SoC clocked at 1.2GHz. This watch will pack in a GPS, Barometer, Cardiotachometer and an Altimeter according to the available info. The watch will be 9.8mm thick, which means it will be thinner than the Moto 360 and the Apple watch.
We still don’t know the exact price of this smartwatch, but you can expect it to be significantly more affordable than any other Android Wear-powered smartwatch currently available. Most importantly, this smartwatch will be available for purchase no matter where you live, Chinese resellers ship all over the globe. The Bluboo Xwatch will sport four physical buttons it seems, and it will be made out of metal. A number of color variants will be available, and as soon as we receive more info, we’ll let you know, stay tuned.
