An unofficial OnePlus System Apps channel on Telegram has posted a screenshot of the new OnePlus 13 battery charging feature. On the new Android 16 Beta 2 firmware version of the OnePlus 13, testers can set the battery charging limit. They can choose the limit they want to use, which goes from 80 percent to 100 percent in 5 percent increments.
On the Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 version, the OnePlus 13 users can only turn on the 80 percent charging limit setting. You can accomplish this by opening the Settings app, selecting Battery, and then choosing Battery Health. Thanks to the new Android 16 Beta 2 firmware, the OnePlus 13 users have four levels to set the charging limit.
The new feature could slow down the aging of the battery
The OnePlus 13’s (review) new charging setting offers better flexibility for balancing daily battery needs against the long-term longevity of the same. If you have a lower limit for the maximum charging, it should slow down the aging of the battery of your device.
