It’s been quite a week for leaked images over the past 7 days, as we’ve seen a few pictures here and there of a potential 2016 Moto X sporting a metal case, and seemingly legitimate press renders have surfaced showing the HTC One X9 devices that’s been leaked several times over the past month or so. Leaked devices weren’t the only big reveals this past week though, as Hangouts has been rumored to lose its “use as default SMS app” feature. On the other hand, it’s also rumored to be getting a quick reply feature in a future update, so while it may be losing one thing it is likely gaining another.
HTC shed a tiny bit of light on their VR endeavors this past week as CEO Cher Wang stated they had a huge breakthrough on their technology in the last two weeks, and prior to that statement some leaked renders of the new HTC Vive design surfaced on the web. It’s thought that the new design for the headset will show up at CES 2016 as Wang mentioned they’ll be sharing the breakthrough on the Vive at the event. Samsung has officially announced a 128GB version of the Galaxy Note 5, known as the Winter Edition, but only for its home market of Korea. It’s also been revealed that Google may be looking into setting up an online poll to decide the official name for Android N.
