Fossil Q Founder Smartwatch Available From The Google Store

Smartwatches might not be for everyone, but they sure are getting better and better. Google’s Android Wear platform really did inspire a number of OEMs to pay attention to details and release quite a few compelling smartwatches. Motorola, Huawei, Asus, Tag Heuer and Fossil, which we’ll talk about today, are just a few companies which have released Android Wear-powered smartwatches which are quite compelling. There are a number of watches currently available out in the market, and chances are you’ll find one that suits you, no matter if you’re into rectangular or circular displays. We’re here to talk about Fossil’s Q Founder smartwatch which sports a circular display, read on.

The Fossil Q Founder was announced at the end of October, and this smartwatch is actually now available for purchase from the Google Store. The Q Founder is a result of a partnership between Fossil and Intel, and this smartwatch actually looks really nice due to the metal build and its general shape. The Q Founder can now be purchased from the Google Store for $275, which makes it more affordable than both the Moto 360 (2nd-gen) and Huawei Watch, its main competition. Anyhow, the Fossil Q Founder sports a 1.5-inch display with a pixel density of 240ppi. The watch actually packs 1GB of RAM on the inside, compared to Moto 360 (2nd-gen) and Huawei Watch which pack in ‘only’ 512MB of RAM. You’ll also find 4GB of internal storage on the inside, and this watch also ships with IP67 certification for water resistance. This watch doesn’t actually sport a full circle display, it has that flat tire like the Moto 360, unfortunately, but that probably won’t bother that many of you.

The Fossil Q Founder is compatible with Android (4.4+) and iOS (8+), and is now available directly from Google for $275 (leather band variant). If you want the variant of the watch with a stainless steel band, you’ll have to pay $20, which means the watch will cost you $295. That is pretty much it, if you’re interested, follow the source link down below which will take you directly to the Google Store.
