Galaxy S7 To Be Available In 5.1", 5.5", And 6" Variants

The Galaxy S7 rumors have been coming our way for quite some time now. Samsung’s upcoming flagship will probably be announced at the end of February during MWC, unless the company opts to unveil it in January as some rumors have said. Anyhow, yesterday’s Galaxy S7 rumor claimed that the device will sport a 5.2-inch display, while the Galaxy S7 Edge will ship with a 5.5-inch panel. This is not the only piece of info that surfaced yesterday, the phone’s dimensions popped up in a separate leak, and so did the alleged renders of Samsung’s upcoming flagship models.

That being said, a new Galaxy S7 rumors popped up, and this rumor actually claims Samsung plans to unveil three Galaxy S7 devices. According to the source, the Galaxy S7 will be announced in 5.1-inch, 5.5-inch and 6-inch variants. Now, the 5.1-inch model will have a flat display, and will basically be a direct successor to the Galaxy S6. The 5.5-inch model, on the other hand, will be called the Galaxy S7 Edge, and it won’t be available in a flat screen option, only in its curved display variant. What about the 6-inch variant? Well, this is the first time we hear about this handset, and according to the provided info, this phablet will be available in both flat and curved display options.

So, all in all, Samsung plans to announce four Galaxy S7 flagship handsets, plus the Galaxy Note 6 which will arrive later in the year. This means that the company will announce 5 flagships in 2016, compared to 4 of them they announced this year. It is to be expected that the four Galaxy S7 handsets sport very similar internals, including the company’s Exynos 8890 SoC (Snapdragon 820 variants are also possible), QHD Super AMOLED displays, metallic build, a physical home button with a fingerprint scanner, 4GB of RAM, etc. On top of all of this, you can also expect Android 6.0 Marshmallow to come pre-installed on these devices, along with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, of course. We’ll see a ton more Galaxy S7 leaks in the coming weeks, so get ready for that, we’ll report back as soon as something new pops up.
