We already knew that Letv is one of the fastest growing Chinese smartphone OEMs at the moment. This company has released their first handsets, Le Superphones, earlier this year, and they’ve been selling really well ever since they were made available by the company. The Letv Le 1, Le 1 Pro and Le Max have been announced earlier in the year, and Letv Le 1s is the company’s most recently announced device. That being said, the new, Snapdragon 820-powered handset is on its way, and is expected to launch in the first quarter of next year. We’ll talk about that in a minute, let’s first take a look at some statistics Letv provided, shall we.
The company has decided to share some additional sales info, along with some additional numbers. Letv reported that they’ve managed to sell 1 million Le Superphones in China in November alone. Letv Le 1s has been the most interesting phone to consumers in November it seems, Letv has actually managed to sell 780,000 units of Le 1s alone, which is commendable. In addition to these sales numbers, Letv has also added that Le Superphone users consume up to 1.2GB of data per month on average, while the industry’s average is under 800MB. It seems like 56.7% of Le Superphone users are male, while the remaining 41.27% are female.
Letv’s devices will soon roll out to additional markets, the company will make their devices available in India (Q1 2016), and the company has already opened their official online store in the US. Now, keep in mind that Letv’s smartphones are still not available in the US, but their accessories sure are. Le Superphones will quite probably become available in the US in the coming months, perhaps even Q1 2016, but we’re only guessing. One thing is for sure, the company’s upcoming flagship definitely got the attention of both consumers and tech media. The recently benchmarked Letv ‘Max Pro’ smartphone will ship with a QHD (2560 x 1440) display, 4GB of RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow it seems. The device will also be made out of metal, and will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 820 SoC.
