Letv has entered the smartphone world when they launched three ‘Le Superphone’ devices earlier this year. The company has unveiled their Le 1, Le 1 Pro and Le Max devices back in April, while the Letv Le 1s arrived a couple of weeks ago. Now, Letv’s devices are quite sleek-looking and the Le Max is the most powerful out of the bunch. We’ve already reviewed this 6-inch phablet, and Letv also plans to release a Snapdragon 820-powered handset in the first quarter of next year, at least according to recent reports, the company has already teased a Snapdragon 820-powered smartphone. That being said, we have some exciting news for those of you who are waiting for Letv to arrive in the US, read on.
Now, Letv has already kicked off their LeMall store in the US, but the company’s smartphones are still not available for purchase over there. Well, that will change soon enough, the company has reached out and confirmed that they’ll make an appearance at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas in early January. The company actually used the words ‘Letv will launch in the U.S. at CES’, which means we can expect at least one smartphone announced for the US market, or at least we hope that will happen. Despite the fact Letv is rather new in the smartphone world, this company has been around for quite some time now, and is really popular in China. Their Le Superphone devices have been selling really well in Letv’s homeland, the company has managed to sell 1 million of those devices in November alone.
There’s another interesting tidbit worth mentioning in all this, during the Letv 1s announcement event Letv has also announced a partnership with Aston Martin, which basically surprised all of us. Now, Letv didn’t really share all that many details about this, but we’ll get more info soon enough. All in all, Letv is getting ready to make a big push towards Indian and US market, and it will surely going to be interesting to see what happens next. Indian smartphone market is far more approachable at the moment, and many smartphone manufacturers are aiming to sell their devices there, but the US market might be a bit harder to crack. Either way, stay tuned for more info.
