Samsung Galaxy A9 Gets Certified By TENAA In China

Samsung has announced quite a few devices this year, as it’s usually the case with this Korea-based smartphone OEM. The company has announced for flagship handsets, including two smartphones and two phablets. Along with those phones, they’ve also released a number of low and mid-range offerings. The second-gen Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 smartphones have been unveiled a couple of weeks ago, and the Galaxy A9 has been surfacing like crazy lately. We’ve seen leaked press materials along with a ton of extra content, and the device has just been certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) as well.

TENAA’s listing not only confirmed the design of this phablet, but has also confirmed its specifications as well. The Galaxy A9 will feature a 6-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED 2.5D display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 620 64-bit octa-core processor along with an Adreno 510 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel OIS camera (f/1.9 aperture) will be located on the back of this phablet, and an 8-megapixel shooter will be placed up front. The 4,000mAh non-removable battery will also be a part of this package, and so will fast charging. The Galaxy A9 will sport a physical home button below the display, and a fingerprint scanner will be built into it. Andriod 5.1.1 Lollipop will come pre-installed here with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI available on top of it, and 4G LTE connectivity will also be a part of this package. The device will measure 161.7 x 80.9 x 7.4mm, while it will weight 200 grams.

Now, it is also worth mentioning that this handset will be made out of metal, as are a number of other Galaxy-branded devices this year. The company’s recently released Galaxy ‘A’ line of devices resembles their flagship units quite a bit in terms of the general design, and the Galaxy A9 will as well. The Galaxy A9 will be available in Gold, White and Pink color options, and is expected to become available in China really soon. That is more or less it, stay tuned.
