Star Wars: The Force Awakens is due to hit theaters today, and many people are likely going to try their best to avoid any spoilers for the film until they’re able to see it. If you like to play games and your plan is to hold yourself over with a Star Wars fix in the meantime, you can still get a taste of The Force Awakens with the recently released game Star Wars Galaxy Of Heroes, which has just been updated to add new content inspired the new film. There will be a total of 10 new characters in all coming from The Force Awakens which will be joining the already extensive lineup of 60 collectible heroes.
The list of new characters includes Kylo Ren, Finn, Captain Phasma, Poe Dameron, Rey, First Order Storm Trooper, First Order Officer, First TIE Order Pilot, Resistance Pilot, and Resistance Trooper. Each character will come in offering a unique experience and their own set of skills and abilities to add to your team which could help to turn the tides of battle in a particularly challenging fight. Star Wars Galaxy Of Heroes is a turn-based strategy RPG, so a differing spread of characters with a range of abilities is never a bad thing to have.
Alongside offering ten new characters to collect within the game, EA is offering up special rewards for players who log in between tomorrow, December 18th, and December 31st of this year to celebrate the launch of the new movies. The rewards include two free characters, which are Captain Phasma and the Resistance Trooper for Android gamers. Those on iOS will get Poe Dameron and First Order Storm Trooper. Star Wars Galaxy Of Heroes is a free game and does offer in-app purchases, but they are purely optional and players are more than capable of going through the game without spending a cent.
