Hands On: ASUS Zenfone Selfie

The ASUS Zenfone Selfie was actually announced in 2015, but it is on display here at CES 2016, and we got a chance to go hands on with it today. It’s one of the many variants of the very popular Zenfone 2 released last year as well. What we have here is a 5.5-inch 1080p display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset, as well as 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, there is also a microSD card slot inside which can support up to 200GB of additional storage. The real story with the Zenfone Selfie though, is the front-facing camera. Hence the name. It features a 13-Megapixel camera around front which sports a f/2.2 aperture. Making it great for allowing plenty of light in and also getting a great depth of field.

Like the other Zenfones out there, the Zenfone Selfie comes in a slew of colors, and ASUS is showing it off with their View Flip Cover, which has a big circle for viewing the display and also a nice sized cut out for the front-facing camera. The Zenfone Selfie is already on sale in a few markets, but so far there’s no plan on it heading to the US. However that can always change.
