LeEco, formerly known as Letv, had plenty of announcements to make lately. The company has not only introduced the world’s first Snapdragon 820-powered handset during CES in Las Vegas earlier this month, but has also announced that they’re re-branding from Letv to LeEco as well. The aforementioned handset is called Le Max Pro, and it’s a gigantic 6.33-inch phablet. Back when it launched, we didn’t get all that much info when it comes to its availability, but a new piece of info surfaced in China, read on.
The LeEco Le Max has popped up in China’s certifications database, well, the handset’s X910 model number has. This phablet has just been certified by 3C Certification center in China, which basically means the device will be available for purchase soon. This is one of the last steps upcoming devices have to go through before they reach the market, and it is to be expected that the Le Max Pro will be available in China either this, or next month. It is possible that LeEco opts to postpone its release, but we somehow doubt that. This certification didn’t exactly mention a lot of details when it comes to this device, but a fast charging capability has been confirmed, though LeEco already mentioned that during their CES press conference.
The Le Max Pro is made out of metal, and it features a 6.33-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display with a pixel density of 464ppi. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 802, a 64-bit quad-core processor by Qualcomm, and an Adreno 530 GPU is also available here. The 3,400mAh battery is included on the inside, and a 21-megapixel camera is placed on the back of this phablet. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed here, and the company’s custom UI (EUI) will be included on top of Google’s operating system. The device will be available in 32, 64 and 128GB of internal storage variants, and a fingerprint scanner is included on the back of this device. Some reports claim that the device will cost around 3,500 Yuan ($532), but we’ll see. That’s pretty much it, the Le Max Pro will be available in China soon, if this certification is any indication, so stay tuned for further info.
