Letv: We Sold Over 4 Million Handsets Last Year

Letv has entered the smartphone market back in April last year. This China-based company has introduced three smartphones, the Le 1, Le 1 Pro and Le Max. These three devices managed to attract the attention of consumers in China, and Letv is planning a number of expansions in 2016. The company has also introduced the Le 1S at the end of last year, and their new flagship handset, Le Max Pro, arrived yesterday when the company unveiled it during CES in Las Vegas, read on.

The company has introduced the much rumored Le Max Pro handset, which is the first Snapdragon 820-powered device in the world. This device sports a huge 6.33-inch display, and it will be available in the US. Letv did not share any specific US plans until now, but they are selling their accessories in the States already, and their smartphones will arrive soon as well. That being said, it seems like Letv’s sales are actually coming along great, especially considering they’ve announced their first devices in April last year. The company has actually officially released their sales figures for last year on Weibo (Chinese social network), and it seems like the company managed to sell over 4 million devices. They’ve sold 1 million units until the end of August, and the remaining three million from September to December.

Letv did not exactly go into details here, so we don’t know how many sales their reached per model, but it is safe to assume that the Le 1 and Le 1S devices were their best selling smartphones, at least according to the latest reports. Letv is expanding to India and the US in 2016, and additional markets are a possibility. Their sales will go well beyond 4 million in 2016, not only because new markets come to play, but they have a full year of sales ahead of them, unlike last year. That is pretty much it, Letv is expected to announce when exactly will their devices be available in the US, and which models will be available, and as soon as the company decides to share that info, we’ll let you know, so stay tuned.
