India is the second largest smartphone market in the world, and many smartphone manufacturers opt to sell their handsets over there. LG has introduced a number of devices in India, including their G4 flagship. The LG G4 has been available in the country for quite some time now, and the company has decided to introduce yet another handset, a 3G variant of the entry-level LG G4 Stylus, read on.
Now, keep in mind that the LG G4 Stylus (4G model) has been available in the country since July. The G4 Stylus (4G) was originally priced at Rs. 24,990 ($394), and the new device that LG just listed on their site is actually a 3G only variant of this phone. This variant of the device is priced at Rs. 19,000 ($281) in India, in case you’re interested. It is also worth mentioning that the 4G model of this phone actually costs Rs. 21,000 ($310) in the country, considering the company decided to discount it back in August. The two variants of the G4 Stylus are actually somewhat different, network support is definitely not the only difference here.
The 3G model of this handset is fueled by MediaTek’s MT6592M octa-core SoC running at 1.4GHz, unlike the original 4G variant which packs in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor. The LG G4 Stylus (3G) features an 8-megapixel shooter on the back, while the 4G model comes with a 13-megapixle snapper. Both of these devices ship with a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter though, and both pack the stylus pen pictured in a provided image. The LG G4 Stylus features a 5.7-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS LCD display, along with 1GB / 2GB of RAM and 8GB / 16GB of internal storage. Keep in mind that the 3G variant we’re talking about here ships with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of native storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this device with LG’s custom skin on top of it. The LG G4 Stylus packs in a 3,000mAh battery, while it measures 154.3 x 79.2 x 9.6mm, and weighs 163 grams.
