Xiaomi is primarily a smartphone manufacturer, but this company has introduced a number of various tech gadgets in 2015, ranging from fitness trackers and smart TVs, to air purifiers and security-related gadgets. This China-based company has also introduced a new version of MIUI, their Android-based OS. The MIUI 7 has been introduced in both Chinese and international variants last year, and pretty much every Xiaomi-branded device which was supposed to get it is now updated to this OS. Well, the company didn’t wait long to release yet another update, MIUI 7.1, read on.
The MIUI 7.1 has been in testing for quite some time now, and the rollout has commenced a couple of days ago. Xiaomi has released a list of devices this update is rolling out to as we speak, and a full changelog is available as well. As far as international variants of devices go, these are the ones getting the update: Xiaomi Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Note, Mi 4i, Redmi 2 / Prime, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note Prime, Redmi Note 3G and Mi Pad. Now, as far as Chinese variants are concerned, here’s a list: Mi 3, Mi 4 3G/4G, Mi Note, Mi Note Pro, Mi 4i, Mi 4C, Redmi 1S, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G single SIM / Dual SIM, Mi Pad 1 and 2. That being said, a new report has surfaced saying that MIUI 7.1 will roll out to more Xiaomi-branded handsets on January 11. The source says that Mi 2/2S, Redmi 1S 3G, Redmi 2, Redmi 2A and Redmi Note 3 will be the device to start receiving the update on January 11.
