Oppo is a Chinese company which is not as well-known as Huawei, ZTE or Xiaomi, for example, but Oppo is well respected in Asia, and their devices are quite popular. According to the latest report, Oppo actually managed to sell 50 million devices in 2015, which is a great number, and it certainly managed to surprise us. That being said, the company is expected to announce their high-end phablet, Oppo Find 9, in the coming weeks, read on.
The company was actually expected to announce this handset back in September, but that didn’t happen, and we didn’t really hear much about it since then. Well, the handset (X9009) has now popped up in Indonesia’s Telecom Regularity Authority which is an equivalent to the FCC and TENAA. The listing itself isn’t all that revealing, but the two images which leaked on the side sure are. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see two alleged Oppo Find 9 render which will give you a good look at Oppo’s upcoming device. If these leaks are accurate, the Oppo Find 9 will feature an all-metal design, and a fingerprint scanner on its back. The device does resemble the iPhone, at least as far as its back side goes, but we’ve seen tons of similarly designed devices out there in 2015. The power / lock button will be located on the device’s right-hand side, while you’ll find its volume rockers on the left.
What about its specs? Well, nothing is certain now, but we did see some leaks. The Oppo Find 9 is rumored to sport a 5.9-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display up front, and 4GB of RAM has also been mentioned. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC will probably fuel this handset, along with an Adreno 530 GPU. Now, that’s pretty much it as far as specs go, we didn’t see any additional info next to this, but it is possible we’ll see a 21-megapixel shooter on the back of this device, and we’re hoping Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed as well, but we’re not sure. One thing is for sure though, no matter which variant of Android comes pre-installed here, Oppo will include their ColorOS UI on top of it. Additional Find 9 content will probably surface soon, and the device might launch in the coming weeks as well, even though nothing has been confirmed just yet.
