Report: Oppo To Unveil Find 9 Phablet On September 9th

Oppo is a rather well-known Chinese smartphone OEM. The company has released a number of compelling devices thus far, like the Oppo N3 which launched last year, and Oppo R7 / R7 Plus which were showcased earlier this year. We haven’t heard much from this company lately though, they’ve been rather quiet when it comes to phone launches, but it seems like that might change soon. Before we get into it, it’s also worth mentioning that Oppo has recently announced that their Oppo R7 Plus handset will launch in Europe and the US soon.

That being said, a Chinese leaker, KJuma, has announced via his Weibo (Chinese social network) account that the Find 9 phablet will be arriving on September 19th. This teaser image actually seems legit even though the company still didn’t share it via their official Weibo account. Anyhow, Oppo will reportedly introduce their premium phablet in Beijing, and judging by what Oppo Find 7 looked like when it came out, and which specs it featured, this will definitely be a premium device. We haven’t seen many leaks when it comes to this phablet, but we did see some leaked specs of it and a previously leaked image you can check out in the gallery down below.

The Oppo Find 9 will reportedly feature a QHD (2560 x 1440) display, 4GB of RAM and a 21-megapixel rear-facing camera. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor is said to power this phablet, and metal will almost certainly going to be a part of this package, though this might not be the all-metal build handset. The Oppo Find 7 featured a 5.5-inch display, but judging by an earlier leak of the Find 9 we’ve seen, this phablet might be significantly bigger (around 6-inches perhaps). Oppo tends to release really compelling devices which are usually quite pricey, we’re hoping this will change this time around. Oppo Find 7 was a truly capable device, and it will be interesting to see what will Oppo do with its successor. The Find 7 was released a year and a half ago, so there’s plenty of room for improvement here. Either way, stay tuned for additional info, we’ll let you know if something pops up before the launch event.
