Samsung has introduced quite a big of mobile products last year, including smartphones, tablets, fitness equipment etc. Well, the company’s Gear S2 smartwatch was announced back in August, and it has been available out in the market for quite some time now. Samsung has initially introduced two variants of this device, the standard, sporty variant with silicone band, and the higher-end ‘Classic’ variants which sport a metal band and a rather refine look.

That being said, the color options for these two smartwatches were quite limited at first, and then Samsung introduced two new Gear S2 Classic options during CES in Las Vegas earlier this month. Samsung has unveiled the Platinum and Rose Gold Gear S2 variants, which are now available for pre-order in Europe. Dutch retailer, Coolblue, is now taking pre-order for both of these new variants of the Gear S2. The two devices cost €480, which translates to $520. Coolblue says that they’ll start shipping pre-ordered devices on February 24th.

The Gear S2 is a significant step-up compared to its predecessor. This smartwatch is running Tizen OS, but is compatible with Android handsets as well. The Gear S2 features a rather unique rotating bezel, which is very intuitive and you’ll actually use it quite a bit in collaboration with the device’s display. The Gear S2 features a 1.2-inch 360 x 360 Super AMOLED display, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The watch is fueled by the Exynos 3250 dual-core SoC clocked at 1GHz, and a 250mAh non-removable battery is also a part of this package. The standard variant of this watch measures 49.8 x 42.3 x 11.4mm, while the Classic model measures 43.6 x 39.9 x 11.4mm.

That is more or less it. The Gear S2 Classic Platinum and Rose Gold variants are now available from Coolblue.
