QiKU's Q Terra Flagship Gets Dismantled On Video

QiKU is a relatively new China-based company which came out of Coolpad’s and Qihoo 360’s partnership. This company has introduced three handsets in August last year, and the Qiku Q Terra is the most powerful out of the bunch. This smartphone has been available for quite some time now, and has been announced in India back in November. That being said, the teardown of this 6-inch phablet has surfaced online, read on.

If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see a number of teardown images, and right below the article you’ll also notice the teardown video, courtesy of Fonearena. The source goes into detail as to how they pulled apart QiKU’s flagship, and it really doesn’t seem like it was overly difficult, at least not compared to other devices. The QiKU Q Terra features a 6-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 on top of it. This phablet also packs in 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core SoC fuels this phablet along with an Adreno 418 GPU, and a 3,700mAh battery is included on the inside, while you also get the fast charging capability here. Two 13-megapixel cameras are placed on the back of the Q Terra, the 13-megapixel Sony IMX278 sensor is the main shooter, and Sony’s IMX214 is the secondary one. This is a dual-SIM handset, and it ships with a fingerprint scanner as well. The phone comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop pre-installed with the 360 OS available on top of Google’s operating system. This device measures 157.6 x 79.8 x 8.6, while it weighs 185 grams.

The Q Terra sure is an interesting device which sports really thin side bezels, but unfortunately, its availability is quite limited at the moment. QiKU hasn’t been around for long, but we really don’t know if their sales are proceeding as planned. if the company takes off, we might see some of their devices hit other markets (outside of Asia) as well, but until then, this handset isn’t exactly that easy to come by.
