The tablet market has been suffering from poor sales for some time now. To counteract this trend, some manufacturers have been making larger tablets and beefing up their specs in order to attract business consumers. Others have built tablets for media consumption in unusual sizes to complement the use of existing tablets. Samsung introduced several tablets last year and pretty much catering for every price segment and today, it became clear that the company updated their budget-oriented Galaxy Tab E 8.0 with higher specs and better connectivity options. Apparently, the company could also introduce additional members to its Galaxy Tab E family in the near future.
Samsung could introduce the Galaxy Tab E 7.0 with model numbers SM-T280NZKA, just as its name suggests the tablet would sport a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, the yet unknown processor would be clocked at 1.3 GHz and it would be paired with 1.5 GB of RAM. There would only be 8 GB of internal storage, thankfully, it can be expanded if users require additional space. The version of the Galaxy Tab E 7.0 with 4G connectivity would carry the model number SM-T285. Apparently, black would be the only color option for the tablet. There are still some unknown details regarding the hardware, such as the cameras it will integrate or the capacity of its battery.
It was also mentioned that Samsung would launch a Galaxy Tab E 7.0 Lite and a Galaxy Tab E Kids with model number SM-T113 in both cases. The regular Lite tablet could be launched with Samsung’s Kids mode, so perhaps the company could launch the Kids version in additional color options to appeal to the younger audience. The specs of these tablets are yet unknown, but the overall design could highly resemble the one of the Galaxy Tab E 7.0 and given that the resolution of the screen is already on the lower side, these two tablets could have a processor with fewer cores and clocked at a slower speed, as well as likely being paired with a lesser amount of RAM. As always, these details remain unconfirmed until an official announcement comes through.
