SwiftKey is probably one of the most popular third-party keyboard apps on Android. And likely the only app to ever go from a paid app to a free app with in-app purchases. SwiftKey has been around for about 5 years now and has been getting better and better with each update. Within the SwiftKey app, you can see your stats. These includes things like seeing how much more efficient you are with SwiftKey, how many taps have been saved, how many words have been predicted, and more. However, with today’s update to the beta version of the app, there’s a whole lot more stats to check out.
In addition to the stats that you can already see in the app, you’ll also see what topics you type about the most. As well as your most used emoji, as well as the Signature Emoji (which is the emoji you use more than anyone else) and finally, vocabulary size. This shows you how many words SwiftKey has learned from you over the weeks, months, or years, since you’ve been using it. SwiftKey says that this idea was brought up from their Innovation Weeks, which was held in April of 2015 and is a week-long hackathon. The purpose of this new feature is to allow users to take a fun and interesting look at how you type on your smartphone, tablet and other devices you use SwiftKey on.
The new stats are in the same place as usual within the SwiftKey app. So you’ll just need to pop open the app and you’ll see all of your stats there. Of course, the stats only work for those times that you’ve used the SwiftKey keyboard. So if you have SwiftKey installed and use another keyboard like Google Keyboard, you won’t be getting the most accurate stats. That’s just how these things work. SwiftKey Beta is a separate app on the Google Play Store that you can download and take advantage of the latest features coming to SwiftKey in the near future. Eventually they do graduate and get implemented into the regular SwiftKey app, once they’ve matured enough and is something that users will want to use.
