Titan Company Introduces The Juxt Smartwatch In India

There are several approaches towards building a smartwatch, one of them is building a device with a small touchscreen and many connectivity options that use its own operating system, a different approach would be to build a regular watch and add some connectivity options so that it can be paired with a smartphone and get notifications. Obviously, the first approach is adopted mostly by tech companies and the latter is typically used by traditional watchmakers that specialize in hardware design and mechanical components while adding a few new features to make them compatible with current technologies.

The famous Indian company Titan has now built a smartwatch as part of the “Engineered by HP” program. This program would allow traditional watchmakers to build their devices using their own signature designs and HP would build some components to make them smarter. The new Titan smartwatch is called JUXT, and it combines an elegant design with technological components. The watch features a precision-crafted, three-piece watch case with curved contours for improved ergonomics on any wrist. The remborde strap is made of natural calf leather to complement the looks of the watch. The JUXT offers 5 ATM water resistance and its stainless steel case is very durable and even hypoallergenic, covering the screen is a toughened mineral glass.

The watch face features a honeycomb pattern and a small OLED screen to read notifications and additional information while the skeletal hands won’t sacrifice visibility. On the small digital screen, users can see their calendar events, notifications from messages and other apps, alerts from calls, set daily goals and keep track of your steps, read news from social media and check the time from several cities. Otherwise, users can get alerted with different haptic vibration patterns, for added discretion. The JUXT is offered in three color options, Stainless Steel, Titanium and Rose Gold and its prices range from Rs 15,995 ($235) to Rs 19,995 ($295), depending on the color, it is now available for pre-order. The watch is compatible with Android devices running Android 4.4 or a more recent version, as well as those running iOS 8 or a more recent version, its battery is said to last up to 5 days.
