10. Meizu MX5

Meizu MX5 has been announced in July last year, and it is not the latest and the greatest from Meizu any longer, but still is one of the best buy devices out there. This handset sports a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, 3GB of RAM and is fueled by the Helio X10 SoC. The 20.1-megapixel shooter is located on its back, and the phone is made out of metal. This handset can be bought in India for around Rs. 20,000 ($294) at the moment.

9. LG G4

The LG G4 has been around for quite some time now, the company has introduced this handset back in April 2015. The G4 is still one of the best handsets out there, and even though its successor is right around the corner, this handset definitely still belongs on this list. The G4 features a 5.5-inch QHD display, 3GB of RAM, and is fueled by the Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor. This handset also packs a 16-megapixel OIS camera which produces great images, and is generally a good looking device.

8. Google Nexus 5X

The Google Nexus 5X is not exactly the highest-end handset out there, but sure is worth it. Not only do you get a stock Android pre-installed here, but you also get a really good camera (identical to the one on the Nexus 6P), a Snapdragon 808 SoC, 2GB of RAM and a fingerprint scanner. The Nexus 5X has been available in India for quite a while now, and costs around Rs. 20,990 ($309) in India (Amazon India) at the moment (at the time of writing this article), which means that it is significantly more affordable now, than it was back when it launched.

7. OnePlus X

OnePlus X was one of the biggest surprises this year. This handset actually sports a very sleek design, a solid set of specs and is quite affordable. OnePlus’ mid-ranger can usually be purchased for Rs. 16,999 ($250) from Amazon India, but now costs Rs. 14,990 ($220). We don’t know how long will the promotion last, but either way, this device is certainly worth it. You get a 5-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor. Android Lollipop comes pre-installed here, and on top of it you’ll find OnePlus’ Oxygen OS.

6. YU Yutopia

The Yutopia is YU’s latest handset. This is the company’s flagship device, and the highest-end smartphone this India-based company has ever manufactured. The Yutopia sports a 5.2-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor, and a 21-megapixel OIS shooter is placed on its back. The 8-megapixel snapper can be found up front, and you’ll also get Cyanogen OS 12.1 installed on top of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop here.

5. Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge(+)

The Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+ are still amongst the best devices out there, and definitely do deserve to be on this list. Not only are they fueled by one of the best SoCs out there (Exynos 7420), but they also sport great design, camera and build. These three handsets are quite pricey though, but if you’re looking to buy Samsung’s flagship(s), you probably know that they’re not the cheapest devices around.

4. Motorola Moto X Style

Motorola Moto X Style is still Motorola’s flagship. This phablet has been announced in July last year, and has been available in India for a while now. The Moto X Style packs in a 5.7-inch QHD display, 3GB of RAM and is fueled by the Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor. The Moto X Style features an almost stock version of Android, and its bezels are also quite thin. The 16GB variant fo this device is priced at around Rs. 27,000 ($397) in India at the moment.

3. OnePlus 2

OnePlus 2 is one of two OnePlus-branded devices that were announced this year. The OnePlus 2 features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor. The OnePlus 2 is one of the best devices released this year, and it’s not as expensive as some other flagships out there, which is a plus, of course. The phone now costs Rs. 22,999 ($338) in India.

2. Samsung Galaxy Note 5

The Galaxy Note 5 is Samsung’s latest flagship. This phablet features a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM and is fueled by the Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor. The device also packs in a 16-megapixel OIS camera, and Samsung’s S Pen stylus is also a part of this package. The company has also pre-installed a number of software features to complement the S Pen stylus. The Galaxy Note 5 is quite pricey all over the world, India included, but it’s the best Samsung has to offer at the moment.

The Nexus 6P is not that cheap in the country, but is still more affordable than some other flagships out there.
