Xiaomi Redmi 3 Official Images & Camera Samples

Xiaomi has introduced their latest device earlier today, the Redmi 3. This handset is a direct successor to the entry-level Redmi 2 which was announced in January 2015, though Redmi 3 can even be considered a mid-ranger at this point. This handset sports an all-metal body, and significantly improved specifications compared to its predecessor, not to mention it also has that rather unique design, especially if you look at its back. We’ll talk more about its specifications later on, let’s first tackle images.

We’ve shared a couple of official images earlier today when we introduced this handset, and are now back to share a number of additional shots which were released before and after the announcement, this is a roundup of sorts. That’s not all though, Xiaomi has also introduced a couple of camera samples for this device, which is something that might interest those of you who are thinking of purchasing this handset. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see all Xiaomi Redmi 3 images which are currently available, and the last four images are the official camera samples Xiaomi has released on their official forum. These shots were taken during the day, and lighting is proper, so it remains to be seen how will Redmi 3’s camera perform in low light, we’ll share those images as soon as they surface, unless we manage to get our hands on a review unit before that happens.

The Redmi 3 sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) panel, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). This device is fueled by the Snapdragon 616 64-bit octa-core processor, and a 4,100mAh battery is also a part of this package. The 13-megapixel snapper can be found on the back of this device, and a 5-megapixel one is located up front. MIUI 7 comes pre-installed on this smartphone, and you’ll also find two SIM card slots here. The second SIM card slot can be used as a microSD unit as well, in case you need extra memory. The phone measures 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5mm, while it weighs 144 grams. The device is priced at 699 Yuan ($106), and it comes in Silver, Grey and Gold color options. The phone will be available in China starting tomorrow from Mi.com and Tmall.
