We already know that HTC won’t be unveiling the HTC One M10 at Mobile World Congress later this month in Barcelona, Spain. But that doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing a new flagship smartphone from them in the near future. Rumors have been pointing to the One M10 being announced in March and being available shortly there after. The HTC One M10 will be the successor to the One M9, and actually feature some radical changes. In the rumor mill, we’ve heard that the One M10 will be similar to the One A9 announced last fall. Which looked an awful lot like the iPhone 6S – similar to this picture that you see above. This picture was tweeted by Evleaks, who believes it is the One M10, which is codenamed the Perfume.
Specs for the unannounced smartphone include a 5.1-inch QHD AMOLED display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 12-megapixel UltraPixel camera on board. It’ll be running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow – the latest version of Android – along with Sense 8.0 on top of Marshmallow. A few surprises in there, like the jump from FHD to QHD and the jump from SuperLCD3 over to AMOLED. The biggest surprise perhaps is the UltraPixel making a comeback after being gone on the One M9 last year (it was moved to the front-facing camera).
Looking at this picture, we have what appears to be the power button on the right side along with the volume rocker. A physical home button – which quite possibly could feature a fingerprint sensor – at the bottom, along with a fairly large front-facing camera on the front above the earpiece. It does look quite similar to the iPhone, however. Now this could be one of many prototypes, or it could be the final version of the HTC One M10. At this time we are unable to confirm that. We haven’t heard when HTC will be announcing this device, but it should be in the next 6 weeks or so. As the HTC One M9 was announced in early March at Mobile World Congress in 2015, it’s about time for an upgrade for many users.
