Galaxy A9 Pro Receives Bluetooth SIG Certification

Samsung has introduced two new flagship devices at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. That being said, before MWC kicked off, we’ve seen some indications that the Galaxy A9 Pro is coming. The device has not only been certified in China, but has also popped up on Zauba in India soon after that, and has been listed on GFXBench. Well, now we got yet another confirmation that this device not only exists, but that it will be announced really soon, read on.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro has surfaced yet again, this time the device showed its face in Bluetooth SIG. You can check out the listing on the site below this image. The listing doesn’t really reveal all that much, but it is simply a confirmation that the phone will be announced soon, which usually happens after a particular device hits Bluetooth SIG, you can expect it to arrive in the coming weeks. That being said, the GFXBench listing actually shared some of Galaxy A9 Pro’s specifications with us. The device is expected to sport a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 64-bit octa-core processor will fuel this smartphone, and a 16-megapixel snapper will be placed on its back. The 4,000mAh battery will also be a part of this package, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on the device with Samsung’s TouchWiz placed on top of it, as usual.

Now, as far as availability goes, this smartphone will quite probably going to be released in China only, just like the Galaxy A9, at least initially. We didn’t see any hints that Samsung is aiming to push it to other markets, but you never know. Either way, this handset can be categorized as a mid-range offering, despite the fact it has plenty of RAM on board. The Snapdragon 652 SoC is a mid-range offering by Qualcomm, and despite that, this could be a compelling device for quite a few people if the pricing is right, the beefy battery on the inside only goes in its favor. Stay tuned, we’ll report back as soon as new info surfaces.
