Galaxy S7's Front & Back Sides Shown Off In A New Leak

Galaxy S7 leaks are a dime a dozen lately. Samsung will introduce their Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones during the Unpacked event on February 21st, and a ton of info leaked thus far. The closer we get to this event, the more info we get on a daily basis. The Galaxy S7 Edge has actually surfaced again earlier today, and now the regular Galaxy S7 has showed its face in some new images, read on.

Now, as you can see in the provided images, this is a gold-colored Galaxy S7. The device looks quite similar to its predecessor, and the Galaxy S7 Edge handset which has leaked several times now. As expected, the physical home button is back once again, and the fingerprint scanner will quite probably be included on the inside. The phone is, once again, made out of metal and glass, but its shape is more similar to the Galaxy Note 5, than the Galaxy S6. If you take a closer look at the back of the device, you’ll notice that the back side is curved, which would not only make the phone fit better in the hand, but hopefully also means that Samsung included a bigger battery pack on the inside of this device. The camera sensor is quite visible here, as is the LED flash and heart rate sensor next to it. The camera bump will be significantly smaller this time around (which is quite visible in the image down below), as previous rumors said.

The Galaxy S7 will, unlike the Galaxy S7 Edge, sport a smaller 5.2-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display, just like its predecessor. The phone will be powered by the Exynos 8890 and Snapdragon 820 SoC, both variants will be available (market dependent). The device will ship with 4GB of RAM and on the inside, and Samsung will release several internal storage models. The 12.2-megapixel BRITECELL camera has been rumored recently, but it’s possible that Samsung ends up using Sony’s 23-megapixel snapper after all. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on this smartphone, and the company’s TouchWiz UI will be available on top of it.
