GTA: Liberty City Stories Launches On Android At 40% Off

If you grew up playing the games in the Grand Theft Auto series, you have likely played a good number of them and are already aware of the existence of Liberty City Stories, an offshoot title in the franchise that isn’t necessarily part of the main series, but does contain characters and storyline from GTA 3. The game first launched on mobile devices last December on iOS and at the time, it was stated by Rockstar Games that it would be coming to Android soon. Soon was all of the information they had given so gamers that were interested were simply left to wonder and wait patiently.

The time for waiting is over as Rockstar has just launched GTA: Liberty City Stories onto Android earlier this morning, and to celebrate the launch of the game it’s coming in at a special and limited 40% off. The cost to pick up the game is currently $3.99, but since this is a special limited sale the game will eventually jump up in price, likely after a week or two on sale. Having said that, there’s no guarantee it’ll stay at this price past the weekend so if you’re considering picking the game up now might be the best time to do so.

While the game has already been out on other platforms long before now, the port for Android comes with quite a few improvements like touched up graphics, improved touch controls and cross-platform saves just to name a few. As part of the graphics enhancements, the character textures have been give a higher resolution coat of paint, and Rockstar has also improved the draw distance as well as enhanced the visual effects with real-time lighting and shadows. While the touch controls have been improved, gamers will be happy to know that controller support has been added as well so they can link up a compatible Bluetooth gamepad and play with a traditional style. With all of the content and all of the touch-ups, the games weighs in at a massive 1.9GB of space, so make sure you have enough room to store it if you decide to pick it up.
