When it comes to smartphones, Motorola is one of the companies that makes a number of popular Android options in the form of their Moto X, G and E ranges. While all the ranges are designed to be affordable in nature, they are also designed to cater to each specific price market. As a result, whichever price-point you are looking to buy at, you can find an option from Motorola which offers a decent level of specs and a near-stock Android experience. However, just before MWC kicked off, the company did announce that they were spreading their wings a little more into the accessories market. Of course, Motorola already has some accessories available like the Moto Hint, but the recent announcement saw their selection of accessories significant increase with the introduction of their VerveLife range. At MWC this week, we were able to get a much closer look at the selection of VerveLife headphones and earphones which will soon be available.
Overall, we have the VerveLoop, the VerveRider+, the VerveOnes and the VerveOnes+. The VerveLoop are earphones that are designed to be as lightweight as possible, while also offering an IPX4 rating for protection against sweat and water. These are earphones which connect over Bluetooth and are said to offer about 6 hours of usage between charges. Moving on and we have the VerveRider+. One of the main differences here being these make use of more of a neckband form. While the VerveRider+ also come with a greater protection against water and sweat thanks to their IP57 rating, as well as an increased battery life which is said to offer as much as 12 hours of usage between charges.
The VerveOnes on the other hand take wireless to the next stage by ruling out the need for wires completely and instead come in pure earbud form. As to be expected, these are also Bluetooth earbuds and once again, are said to offer as much as 12 hours of usage before needing to be recharged. Likewise, the VerveOnes+ adopt the same form as the standard VerveOnes and come without the use of any wires. However, there ‘plus’ status includes an IP57 rating for protection against water and sweat. Both of the VerveOnes versions also come with a handy and small case for carrying the earbuds.
