One particular market which has dominated the headlines over the last year is wearables. Whether they be smartwatches, fitness trackers or any other form of tech that you wear, these smaller electronic devices have consistently been coming through over the past year and 2016 looks to be no different with even more wearables on show during this year’s MWC event in Barcelona.
One of the companies who were making their debut at MWC was Hesvit and they were there to show off their current fitness tracking smart band, the Hesvitband S3. In some respects, this is a standard fitness tracker as it records all your fitness and health-related data and relays it back to you through the device’s corresponding Android app. However, in many other respects, this is a fitness tracker which differs from the rest. One of its most notable features is its display. The Hesvitband S3 comes with an LCD display which shows all of the information that it records on one single page. One of the immediate benefits of this, is that you do not need to continually swipe through screens to find the information you are looking for. Whether you want to know how many steps have been taken, how many calories burned, the humidity, the temperature, hours sleep, or even just the time, all the information is neatly presented on the one screen and always visible at a glance.
This is also a smartband which has the capacity to work as a standalone device. So if you are planning to go for a run or to gym and do not want to take your smartphone with you, you do not have to. The Hesvitband S3 will record all of your data while you are away from your smartphone and once the two are reunited again and the app is open, all the information will be immediately synced and recorded in the app. Information is synced using Bluetooth (v4.0) and the smartband makes use of a battery which is said to offer as much as ten days between charges. Making this an ideal solution for those who do not want to charge a wearble at the end of each day. One charge a week and one sync with the app a day is all that is needed to keep all your health-related information on file.
