A number of new smartphones were announced back at CES in 2015. One of them was from a company called Saygus and came in the form of the Saygus V-Squared, otherwise known as the V2. This is smartphone which has periodically hit the headlines for various reasons since then and most often for how long it is taking to reach consumers. This was a smartphone which opened up its pre-orders shortly after its CES appearance in February of 2015, and has yet to begin shipping. Although, the latest information on this is that the V2 is said to begin shipping in the next couple of months.
For those unfamiliar with the V2, this is smartphone which comes equipped with a 5-inch display and makes use of a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside, the V2 comes loaded with 3GB RAM and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. In terms of cameras, the V2 comes equipped with a 21-megapixel rear camera, which is coupled with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. However, storage is one of the biggest selling points with this smartphone as it comes with 64GB internal storage. This is further accompanied by two additional microSD card slots, with each offering compatibility with microSD cards up to 200GB. Essentially, offering the consumer as much as 464GB of storage in total. This is a smartphone which also comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner, Type-C USB port, wireless charging, Quick Charge 2.0 supported, an IPX7 rating for water and dust proofing and a 3,100 mAh battery. In terms of the operating system, this was a smartphones which was originally touted to come running on Android 4.4 (KitKat). However, Saygus has now confirmed that it will ship running on Android 6.0 (Marshmall0w) out of the box.
