Letv has recently re-branded to LeEco, and has also introduced the world’s first Snapdragon 820-powered smartphone during CES, the Le Max Pro. LeEco has started selling smartphones in April last year, and has managed to sell quite a few Le 1, Le 1 Pro, Le Max and Le 1s handsets thus far, which are their only smartphones released thus far. That being said, Le Max Pro should become available for purchase soon enough, and we’ve seen quite a few leaks regarding the company’s upcoming Le 2 smartphone. That being said, yet another such leak surfaced recently, read on.
If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll get to see the alleged Le 2 smartphone in the flesh. Now, this image does resemble the ones that leaked recently, but it somewhat different. The phone in this image actually looks quite sleek, and it seems like it has some unique touches as far as the design is concerned. Now, this image is not the only Le 2 piece of info that leaked today, its pricing info leaked as well. According to the latest rumor, the Le 2 will be priced at around 1,500 Yuan ($228), which is a rather affordable price point, especially if the leaked specs are accurate. According to rumors, this phone will sport a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, and it will pack 4GB of RAM on the inside. The device will, allegedly, going to be powered by MediaTek Helio X20 64-bit deca-core SoC, and a 23-megapixel shooter will be placed on the back of this phone. The 32GB of internal storage will also be a part of this package, and same can be said about a fingerprint scanner, and also fast charging.
Now, we cannot confirm that this render is accurate, nor this pricing, but we’ll say this, if the specifications are accurate, then the pricing seems a bit low. Some Chinese smartphones are extremely cheap even though they pack in really serious hardware, well, LeEco does tend to offer affordable handsets in the mid-range department, but their flagships aren’t exactly extremely cheap. The Le 2 seems like a flagship phone (next to the Le Max Pro), and the $228 price point just seems way too low for this handset, but we’ll see. LeEco is expected to introduce this smartphone, along with the Le 2 Pro and Le 2 Max in the second quarter of this year.
