LG has introduced quite a few devices recently. The company has showcased the LG K4, K7 and K10 during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas last month, and surprisingly enough, they’ve unveiled several more devices in the last two days. The company has announced the LG X screen and X cam phones yesterday, along with the Tone Platinum Bluetooth headset. Earlier today, the company has introduced the LG Stylus 2, and has said that the device will be showcased at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Just as we thought LG is done announcing devices, another one of company’s devices surfaced, though this time we’re looking at a silent launch of a smartphone, read on.
The LG K8 (K350N), which is also a part of LG’s mid-range ‘K’ series of smartphones, has been quietly introduced in some markets, like Hungary for example. Now, as far as specs go, the LG K8 features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) In-cell Touch IPS display, on top of which you’ll notice the 2.5D curved glass layer. The phone is fueled by MediaTek’s MT6735 64-bit quad-core SoC, along with a Mali-T720 GPU for graphics. The phone also packs 1.5GB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable internal storage. The 8-megapixel snapper (+LED flash) can be found on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel shooter is placed on its front side. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed here, and on top of it, you’ll get LG custom UI, as usual. The 2,125mAh removable battery is also a part of this package, and the device measures 144.6 x 71.5 x 8.7mm, while it weighs 156 grams.
If you take a look at the provided images, you’ll notice that all of this phone’s physical buttons are placed on the back side of the phone, and that the device sports some sort of a texture on the back. The LG K8 comes in Blue and White color options, though we still don’t know how much will it cost, nor when will it be available. We do expect LG to release more about this handset during the Mobile World Congress though, so stay tuned for that.
